From a first millennium BC we have been interested in our Star Signs from the Signs of the Zodiac and its influence on us all. The Babylonians are credited with starting our fascination with all other great civilisations contributing before the Romans took it to great heights and named the constellations in line not only for our own Sign but with name of there Gods in the night sky.
No surprise that today we are still fascinated by our horoscope and what the position of our stars will do for us and how it will affect our life on a daily basis. Luck, wealth and happiness are all tied to our star sign and most of us at one time or another look at our daily horoscope, drawn to it like a magnet in newspapers and magazines.The twelve signs of the Zodiac are big business, so many of us wear jewellery specifically designed to show our star sign and therefore bring us luck, help us in our quest for love and generally make our life so much better.
It can be no surprise therefore to find a trend in writing tattoos for our star sign an act of devotion to our place and position in the vastness of the universe. Or is it just that they are cool designs available. I would suggest that anyone interested in a tattoo based on the sign of the zodiac is most definitely interested in the big picture, perhaps looking to show who they are and how they fit in the great vastness.
